In-depth analysis of the key role of antimony rotary furnace in antimony smelting

Release time:2025-06-10 12:35 Views:

As the core equipment in the antimony smelting process, the antimony rotary furnace plays an irreplaceable role in improving smelting efficiency and environmental performance. Through dynamic reaction mechanism and precise atmosphere control, it achieves the dual goals of efficient purification of antimony resources and reduction of pollutant emissions.

Antimony rotary kiln

In the pyrometallurgical refining stage of antimony, the rotary furnace rotates the furnace body to continuously update the contact surface between the antimony liquid and

the slag, accelerating the impurity separation process. When antimony sulfide (Sb₂S₃) is used as the raw material, antimony sulfide decomposes into gaseous antimony trioxide (Sb₂O₃) in a high-temperature oxidizing atmosphere, and antimony oxide powder with a purity of 99.5% can be recovered through the flue gas condensation system. A smelter uses a Φ3.2×50m rotary furnace to treat smelting slag containing 12% antimony, with a daily processing capacity of 200 tons and an antimony recovery rate of over 92%.

The airtight design of the equipment significantly reduces the risk of harmful gas leakage. Through the double-layer sealing structure and flexible graphite sealing materials, the pressure in the furnace can be stably maintained at a micro-positive pressure state of 0.5kPa. With the PID intelligent control system, the oxidation/reduction atmosphere ratio can be adjusted in real time. In the arsenic removal process, by controlling the temperature at 1073-1123K and blowing in air for oxidation, the arsenic content can be reduced to below 0.01%, while avoiding the generation of highly toxic arsine gas.

Aiming at the energy consumption pain points of traditional processes, the new rotary furnace introduces waste heat recovery technology, introduces high-temperature flue gas (400-600℃) into the preheating system, increases the temperature of the materials entering the furnace by 300-400℃, and reduces the comprehensive energy consumption by 18%. The matching cyclone + bag dust removal combination device can keep the particle emission concentration stable below 10mg/m³, far exceeding the national environmental protection standards.

With the increase in the purity requirements for antimony compounds in high-end fields such as photovoltaic glass clarifiers and semiconductor infrared materials, the dynamic reaction characteristics and precise atmosphere control capabilities of the rotary furnace will become the key support for breaking through the bottleneck of antimony smelting technology.
