In the smelting process of copper sulfide ore, the anode casting process is crucial. Its goal is to cast the refined, qualified copper liquid into regular, dense anode plates for electrolytic use. Among the key equipment for achieving this goal, the disc anode casting machine occupies a central position.

The disc anode casting machine is a large, intermittently rotating disc with anode molds evenly distributed around its perimeter. During production, refined molten copper is smoothly poured into the mold via an insulated flow channel, followed by a cooling phase. Once the copper has partially solidified, an ejector device pushes the formed anode plate out of the mold. It then undergoes water spray cooling to further enhance its strength and density. Finally, the plate is removed, completing the entire casting process. This equipment boasts a high degree of automation, precisely controlling parameters at each stage to ensure consistent quality for every anode plate. Its high output capacity meets the large-scale production needs of modern factories, making it the preferred choice for many plants.
Besides disc anode casting machines, linear ingot casting machines are also commonly used in copper smelting, but they are mainly used to produce copper ingots of other shapes. In contrast, disc anode casting machines, with their unique advantages, play an irreplaceable role in the casting of anode plates for copper sulfide ore smelting, providing high-quality anode plates for subsequent electrolysis processes and powerfully promoting the efficient operation of the entire copper smelting industry chain.
