The jaw crusher plays a key role in the first crushing process in the antimony ore smelting process. The jaw crusher runs through the three major links of ore pretreatment, process efficiency improvement and full process connection.

Jaw Crusher

Antimony ore (such as antimony gold ore, mercury-antimony ore) has high hardness and often contains impurities, and needs to be crushed to achieve particle size control and dissociation optimization. Specifically, the raw ore (usually >500mm) needs to be crushed to 10-15mm to provide a suitable particle size for subsequent ore dressing, while taking into account the degree of mineral dissociation to avoid over-crushing and loss of antimony minerals.

As the leading equipment in the coarse crushing stage, the jaw crusher has significant technical advantages. Its deep V-shaped crushing chamber design has a large single processing volume, which is suitable for the high hardness characteristics of antimony ore; the periodic movement of the movable jaw is combined with extrusion and splitting, and the crushing ratio reaches more than 10:1. In addition, the jaw crusher can also improve the efficiency of the process chain, form a closed-loop cycle with the cone crusher and ball mill, and realize closed-loop particle size control through vibration screening to ensure feed uniformity. Compared with traditional crushing equipment, it saves 15%-30% energy and increases the processing capacity of a single machine by more than 20%.

The jaw crusher is also highly adaptable and can be applied to different grades of antimony ores, and responds to process requirements by adjusting the size of the discharge port. In the treatment of arsenic antimony ores, it needs to be linked with dust removal equipment to avoid dust pollution.

In the entire smelting process, the jaw crusher is linked with the vibrating feeder to achieve uniform feeding and avoid overload; a grid screen is set before the jaw crusher to remove oversized ore and reduce ineffective crushing. The particle size of the material after crushing is directly related to the flotation effect, and the jaw crusher needs to ensure the uniformity of the particle size. Before smelting the antimony concentrate, it is also necessary to cooperate with the fine crushing equipment to refine the material to ≤6mm to improve the reaction efficiency.

The jaw crusher is not only a crushing tool in antimony ore smelting, but also a key node for process efficiency and equipment coordination.
