In the antimony smelting industry, environmental protection has consistently been a critical bottleneck constraining development. As the core smelting equipment, the antimony rotary furnace is supported by an environmental protection system that encompasses the entire chain—from source reduction to end-of-pipe treatment—ensuring the coordinated development of production and ecological conservation.

High-temperature flue gas generated during smelting first enters an annular flue for preliminary cooling. This design not only effectively lowers the gas temperature and protects downstream equipment from thermal damage but also facilitates the physical settling of dust. The cooled gas then enters the dust removal system, where high-efficiency equipment, such as baghouse filters, recovers valuable antimony trioxide dust. This stage achieves a win-win for economic and environmental outcomes: it reduces dust emissions while recovering valuable metal resources, thereby embodying the principles of clean production.
The dedusted gas finally enters a desulfurization tower for advanced purification. Advanced wet or semi-dry desulfurization technologies are employed to ensure sulfur dioxide emission concentrations meet national environmental standards. Modern rotary furnaces can integrate high-efficiency baghouse filtration and desulfurization units, utilizing intelligent control systems to adjust process parameters in real-time; this ensures that emission levels not only comply with but surpass current environmental requirements.
It is worth emphasizing that this comprehensive environmental protection system is not merely an end-of-pipe solution but is deeply integrated with the rotary furnace production process. Measures such as optimizing combustion control and improving raw material utilization reduce pollutant generation at the source. This "whole-process control" approach to environmental protection lowers pollution treatment costs and enhances the comprehensive resource recovery rate, providing reliable technical support for the green transformation of the antimony smelting industry.
