Electrolytic refining is the core process for producing high-purity electrolytic copper, comprising three main stages: anode plate preparation, electrolyte preparation, and the electrolysis operation itself.

Anode plate preparation: Blister copper is cast into anode plates to serve as the anode material.
Electrolyte preparation: A sulfuric acid solution is prepared and adjusted to the required concentration; impurities are then removed through purification to ensure electrolyte purity.
Cathode plate preparation: Pure copper plates are selected as cathodes and suspended in the electrolytic cell, ensuring good electrical contact.
Electrolysis operation: Direct current is applied; copper from the anode dissolves to form copper ions, which are then reduced and deposited as electrolytic copper at the cathode. Circulation pumps maintain electrolyte flow to prevent concentration polarization, while temperature control ensures a stable and efficient electrolysis process.
These stages are closely coordinated, collectively determining the yield and quality of the electrolytic copper.
